Those awful awful girls and boys.jpg
Illustration in "The Mascot" newspaper, New Orleans, 1889. "Those Awful Awful Girls and Boys. An Every Sunday Occurrence Between Spanish Fort and Milneburg That is Exciting Comment." Shows women frolicing in at the shore and in the water of Lake Pontchartrain in less clothing than considered proper at the time (with implication of perhaps none) while men observe voyeuristically.
