1794 Zick Cimon und Pero anagoria.JPG
In a cold dungeon the young Pero gives her breast to her father Cimon, who is condemned to starvation. The subject matter, often found in Antiquity, became very popular in the 18th century. It is a symbol of charity and testifies to a child's love for its parents.
