Another view of <a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/65986072@N00/12387743075/">this</a>. The original was printed very pale and has been darkened for clarity, resulting in more graininess. As you can see, in these vintage photos the girl is holding a flower. Today the marble is in the Musée d'Orsay, and the flower is missing - possibly broken off in transit. So now she's just holding out her hand for no apparent reason.
