Well, you never know what's going to show up, do you? After only finding black and white (sic) versions of this painting - see here and here, and then applying colorization to them here and here, I have FINALLY managed to find an original colour version. I won't reproduce that here because it's probably copyrighted, but I have done some colour-correction to it and superimposed the chroma from that image over the big black and white version to produce the picture you see here. The dimensions are slightly smaller because the colour photo was cropped a little. As with all colour recombinations, you may notice a little colour fringing here and there. As you can see, this recombination has much richer colours than the computer-colorized versions, so I'm very glad to have found it. A pearl indeed.
