Skogsrå med rävsvans.jpg

Middle Scandinavian "Skogsrå" with a tail of a red fox seen in spruce forest. The "Skogsrå" is a seductive, female forest spirit identical or closely related to the Danish "Ellekvinna", the Norwegian "Huldra", and the Norrlandic "Vittra". The "Skogsrå" is here seen from the back and looks like a nude woman with red hair. She can be identified as a "Skogsrå" because she has a tail like a fox. Appearance with tail is most common in Svealand in middle of Sweden and in Norway. Drawing and photoshoping by Gunnar Creutz.
