Skogsrå med ihålig rygg.jpg

South Scandinavian "Skogsrå" with hollowed back seen in spruce forest. The "Skogsrå" is a seductive, female forest spirit identical or closely related to the Danish "Ellekvinna", the Norwegian "Huldra", and the Norrlandic "Vittra". The "Skogsrå" is here seen from the back and looks like a nude woman with red or golden hair. She can be identified as a "Skogsrå" because her back looks like a hollowed, rotten tree trunk. This appearance is most common in Götaland in southern Sweden. Drawing and photoshoping by Gunnar Creutz.
